According to recent postings from Costco, two popular products are being recalled from the warehouse store. These recent recalls include Kodiak Buttermilk & Vanilla Power Waffles and Rock River Cattle Co. Smokey Hibachi Seasoned Beef Skirt Steak.
In a statement released by Kodiak, the brand recalled the 40-count waffle box due to the presence of a soft plastic film in the packaging. While no injuries or deaths have been reported, Kodiak stated they are “taking this action out of an abundance of caution.”
Skylark Meats, LLC is calling for a recall of Rock River Cattle Co. Smokey Hibachi Seasoned Beef Skirt Steak due to the allergen ingredients missing from the labels.
Costco Product Recall Details
Kodiak Buttermilk & Vanilla Power Waffles: The 40-count waffles with a use-by date of January 10, 2026, lot code 24193-WL4, and time stamp of 12:00-23:00 have been affected by the possibility of unexpected plastic.
No other Kodiak products have been reported to have this issue. Images of the label can be found on the recall page here.
Rock River Cattle Co. Smokey Hibachi Seasoned Beef Skirt Steak: The allergens missing from the label are soy, wheat, and sesame—common allergens. There are no reports that the product has caused any reactions.
Products with a best-by date of September 13, 2024, should be returned immediately. Images of the label can be found on the recall page here.
If you found these products in your freezer, Costco has urged customers to return unused products to your local store for a full refund.
