Eggs Recalled in 3 States After Salmonella Outbreak Sickened Dozens

As a result, Milo’s Poultry Farms, LLC has taken back eggs sold to shops and restaurants in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois. The FDA says this is because the eggs could be contaminated with salmonella. The eggs were sold under “Tony’s Fresh Market” and “Milo’s Poultry Farms.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that 65 illnesses have been reported, and 24 people have been hospitalized because of the current salmonella incident.

It is known that no one has died. People who are sick from this outbreak don’t all live in the states where the eggs were sent. This same type has also made people sick in Utah, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, and Virginia.

“This outbreak may not be limited to the states where illnesses are known,” the CDC said on its website. “The real number of sick people is likely much higher than reported.” “Many people get better without the doctor and aren’t tested for salmonella.”

How To Find The Eggs That Were Called Back

The following packages of eggs are being recalled.

• “Milo’s Poultry Farms” is written on all box sizes and kinds of eggs. This recall includes all instances of bad food.
• All box sizes and expiration dates for eggs sold under the “Tony’s Fresh Market” name.
• The dates are on all boxes of eggs sold in stores and food service establishments.

What To Do If You Bought The Eggs That Were Called Back

Milo’s Poultry Farms has stopped making and delivering eggs, so no more are being sent out. However, customers may still have eggs in their freezers. People who bought eggs from “Milo’s Poultry Farms” or “Tony’s Fresh Market” shouldn’t eat them.
