Krispy Kreme Just Launched 4 New Doughnuts We Didn’t See Coming

If you’ve been anticipating the reveal of Krispy Kreme’s latest limited-edition collection with great excitement, you’re in luck. There’s usually little pause between one collection ending and another beginning, but fresh doughnuts are always a reason to celebrate.

And we’ve had a lot of celebrating to do. Just this summer, the Paris Olympics-themed Go USA collection replaced the Passport to Paris collection, which followed the Fourth of July collection, which came after the Dolly Parton collection, which…we could go on and on. Still, we’ll stop reminiscing and get to the good news.

Since so many of Kris Kreme’se’s delicious, limited-time collections are inspired by what’s happening at the moment, we might have thought its newest collection, dropping on September 3, would have launched in 2023, considering it was one of the buzziest movies of the year.

But we should have realized that the inspiration for this new collection is timeless, and there’s a good reason for these doughnuts to delight us now.

Kris Kreme’s New Barbie Collection Drops September 3

Barbie’s style may have changed over the decades, but she hasn’t aged a day since she was first introduced. That was 65 years ago, and to celebrate the icon doll’s 65th birthday, Krispy Kreme is partnering with Barbie for a limited-time collection featuring four new doughnuts.

• Barbie Pink Doughnut: An Original Glaze piped with pink buttercream, sprinkled with sparkly pink sugar, and topped with Barbie sunglasses.
• Malibu Dream Party Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with Cake Batter Kreme, dipped in Malibu blue icing and sparkly graham sand, topped with a Barbie Dream House piece, and piped with a white cloud.
• Barb Berries’ s’ n Kreme Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with Strawberry Kreme, dipped in white icing, drizzled with purple and pink buttercream, and topped with a Barbie heart.
• Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut: An Original Glazed Doughnut, dipped in chocolate icing, and topped with Barbie Sweet 65th sprinkles.

The doughnuts, which include the Pink Doughnut, t Berries’ s’ n Kreme Doughnut, and the Sweet 65th Doughnut, will also be sold in a six-pack at select grocery stores.

How To Get Free Doughnuts and Enter To Win Barbie x Krispy Kreme Gear

To make the Barbie party even better, everyone who wears pink to Krispy Kreme shops on September 7 can get a free Original Glazed, no purchase necessary. But the free stuff gets even better.

Krispy Kreme has special treats for randomly selected fans, including a limited quantity of Barbie Fashionista dolls donning Krispy Kreme accessories and an adult-sized denim jacket that comes with each doll. There are two chances to win the dolls and jackets:

• From September 4 – 6, any fan who comments and tags a friend on the Barbie x Krispy Kreme social competition post on KrisKreme’se’s social channels (@krispykreme on Instagram) will be entered into a giveaway for a chance to win.
• From September 6 – 8, Krispy Kreme Rewards members who purchase a Barbie x Krispy Kreme dozen at participating shops and scan their Krispy Kreme Rewards app at checkout will be automaticallysigned up for a giveaway for a possibility of winning. Rewards members may also enter without a purchase.

While we didn’t anticipate this collaboration, we are ready to celebrate. Barbie is timeless, and these doughnuts sound delicious.
